You were SHAPED for serving God. The third step in First United Methodist Church Pasadena's dance of a lifetime is to CARE through service ministries. God has not called us to a life of self-indulgence, but a life of love. When Jesus was asked about the greatest commandment, he cited loving God and loving others. We do this through service.

You are invited to look through this list of ministry opportunities and find one that fits your SHAPE:

   Spiritual Gifts... what the Holy Spirit has enabled you to do
   Heart... what you have a passion for
   Abilities....what you are naturally capable of doing
   Personality...what fits who you are as a person
   Experience...what skill you have acquired over your lifetime.

Serving God and neighbor will take you to spiritual heights that you may never have known. Here are some opportunities to serve:

Volunteer Services
Please contact the church office @ 281-487-8787 for more information about the services listed below.

Levites Ministry - Volunteers are needed to perform repairs, maintenance, and small improvement projects for the church buildings and grounds. This includes everything from plumbing to gardening and HVAC maintenance to sewing. All skill levels are needed, from professional to novice. Work times flexible.

Food Preparations - Volunteers are needed to help plan, cook and clean up for our special covered dish meals.

CHOW Food Preparations - CHOW (Church Happenings on Wednesday) Volunteers are needed to coordinate Wednesday night meals. Teams of helpers are also needed for set-up and clean-up.

General Office/Receptionist/Data Entry - Volunteers are needed to answer phones, greet visitors, and perform data entry on an as-needed basis.

Special Mailings/Monthly Newsletter/Bulk Mail teams - Volunteers are needed to help to fold and stuff envelopes for mass mailings.

Christian Life Center - Volunteers are needed to sit in the office of the CLC during the day and whenever the gym is open at night.
